Dust mites have always been part of our daily lives, no matter how clean our homes are. They are found everywhere: in bedding, curtains, stuffed animals, sofas, carpets and rugs.
In our beds, these little uninvited guests are attracted by the heat and humidity, as well as by the human dander (skin, hair and nail debris) that we lose during our sleep. Contrary to popular belief, wool does not harbor more dust mites than feathers or synthetic materials. On the contrary, as feathers age, they produce more dust, thus promoting their proliferation.
A simple rule to remember: all LANADO products filled with machine washable wool (wool program) are treated against dust mites. As for non-washable products, they are left natural for those who prefer a more authentic approach.
